THE MANY FACES OF HINDUISM
Hinduism is one of the oldest religions in the world and probably the most diverse.

It manifests itself in hundreds of different forms with as many different deities and incarnations.

In fact ‘Hinduism’, a word first coined by Europeans in the 18th century, is really an umbrella term used to describe the many different sects and cults. Despite the outward appearance of numerous gods or deities, there is an underlying unity. The ancient texts of Hinduism are vast and include complicated guidelines for ritual worship and also the great epics such as the Ramayana.
Such a huge topic lends itself to the Study Day but the main elements can be covered in a one off lecture.
